NEW – Strategic Management Dynamics Forum

We have just launched a NEW forum for this area and encourage you to join the community conversation. I have added links on the StrategyDynamics website and the book website – forum.strategydynamics.info.

There are two streams of students taking a Strategy Dynamics course with Kim Warren starting week of Jan 14th, one based in London at London Business School and one online through Worcester Polytechnic Instrute (www.WPI.edu) and we hope this will encourage debate – the forums are not limited to students though – please do drop by – and don’t be shy!

Hope to see you there!

Strategic Management Dynamics – now published

Kim Warren was awarded the Jay W Forrester Prize in 2005 for his previous book “Competitive Strategy Dynamics”, for his synthesis of business strategy and system dynamics.

Strategic Management Dynamics [SMD] is a new textbook – this starts with understanding how an organization’s resources behave, and are developed and connected into a ‘strategic architecture’ that drives performance [whether in corporate, public-service or non-profit settings]. It then addresses the competitive dynamics and the implications for profitability. It is consistent with, and adds to, established strategy theory and principles.

The book is well supported with worksheets and examples that help show how to use the approach. Also in development are a number of online audio-visual demonstrations and other exercises.

The book is currently available through Amazon.co.uk and wil be available in the US from early 2008.
